Technology provides a faster, more convenient and more efficient way of performing daily business operations but it also creates a need for organisations big and small to safeguard the data they collect.

With that in mind, security is the backbone of Good Grants, and we are thrilled to share our latest security compliance update with you! Good Grants has now achieved HIPAA compliance, ensuring any collected and stored data containing private health information is secure and compliant.

HIPAA and grantmaking

What is HIPAA?

If you work with applicants sharing personal health information in the United States, you are subject to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), which works to ensure Protected Health Information (PHI) is kept confidential.

What does that have to do with you? In short, according to HIPAA, any organization that has access to or handles PHI is responsible to comply with the regulations.

Good Grants is HIPAA-compliant

With the latest update, Good Grants is now compliant with HIPAA, allowing you to focus on building fantastic grant programs to power positive change without having to worry about your program security.

As defined by HIPAA standards, Good Grants is now a business associate and can provide a HIPAA BAA (business associate agreement) with any organisation dealing with PHI.

You can delight in the multitude of features Good Grants provides and rest easy knowing your and your grantseekers’ data is safe, secure and compliant.
